What We Do

Waveworks AVL, LLC exists to help churches to improve their technical ministries.  This is accomplished through several functions. One is to evaluate  their existing technical systems and their functionality, capacity for growth, and knowledge level of the operators.

A company consultant will make a site visit and determine deficiencies between the capabilities of the current systems and the vision and direction of the church leadership.  Once these are determined, a pathway will be provided to converge the two. This includes training the current staff of operators (both paid and volunteer), making adjustments to existing equipment, and recommending potential replacement equipment along with appropriate vendors. If the need for new equipment is identified, the consultant will solicit quotations from the appropriate vendors and evaluate their responses.  Once purchased, the consultant will oversee project commissioning of new equipment to guarantee technical operation and staff interoperability. This is accomplished through a combination of both short term and/or long term assisted operations with various churches.

The owner has more than twenty years on staff at Southern Baptist churches of various sizes, along with a long-term membership in several national groups of technical leaders in other churches.  In addition, the owner has more than 10 years experience with the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems (audio, video, stage lighting, intercom, telephone key systems and PBX systems, fire alarm, and security systems, plus computer  network infrastructure) in a very large school district.  This included direct responsibility for over 300 sites along with overseeing the construction of approximately 80 brand new schools.

This experience and vast network lends itself to a unique perspective when it comes to evaluation of existing systems, proposed system replacements, and communication with various integrators.  There are very few companies throughout the country that offer this type of service without actually having a stake in selling the equipment.  This provides the opportunity to save the church money because the Company makes its money if the church purchases equipment or not.
